Vic Richey

Chief Operating Officer

Vic Richey is Chief Operating Officer of Baylor Scott & White Health Plan in Temple, Texas, part of Baylor Scott & White Health. He was appointed to this position in March 2020. In October 2013, Scott and White completed a merger with Baylor Healthcare (BHCS) in the Dallas metro area. Vic served as the interim CIO for BHCS prior to the merger.

Vic spent the first part of his career in support of Health Plan applications for Electronic Data Systems business. Beginning as a coder, and moving into the technology of systems support and software development, Vic supported numerous Blue Cross/Blue Shield eligibility systems across the U.S.

Prior to joining Baylor Scott & White Health, Vic was employed at Dell/Perot Systems for 23 years, including Executive Director for Dell Provider Services, covering hospital systems accounts across the U.S. During his tenure with Perot Systems, Vic served as Client Executive for Tenet Healthsystems, managing all of the outsourced IT services for Tenet, including over 1,600 employees delivering services from 4 global locations.

Vic holds a master’s degree in Healthcare and Finance from Northeastern University, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University. He holds a certification of CHCIO-elect from CHIME and is a fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
